How To Feel Motivated When You've Got The Blues

Because it's January (it is generally accepted that this month is one of the month when people are mostly more blue than ever apart from December) and I am feeling kinda blue so I thought it would be fun to change things up a bit and share with you five things that help me get back to normal sunny-side-up daily dealings.

Stick one your favourite movies or TV shows| watching something (to name a few Harry Porter( any of them because I am a massive Porter fan), Amelie, 10 Things I Hate About You etc. I sometime even like watching inspiring movies like The Help (basically love movies by Viola Davis (she inspires me- she reminds me so much of my mum)- talking about Viola Davis, have you seen How to get away with murder? Isn't it a great show? It always keeps my eyes glued on the screen :-)

Get some fresh air| This works almost every time. I like to go for a quick walk around the block which helps to clear my mind, helps to calm down and help me focus

Write down your thoughts| writing down your thoughts rather than you just sitting there and thinking why are I am not motivated to work isn't very productive at all it just makes things worse. I find that whenever i write down what's in on mind, it helps to clear out my mind from cluttered thoughts which in turn helps me focus as well as sometime it helps me find out why I am feeling blue.

Another show stopper for me is cooking| I am not the greatest cooks so I usually cook for myself anyways because I don't want to poison people. Cooking for myself is such a great way to relax and I always look forward to enjoying the spoils of my hard work within a couple of minutes. If you're not much of a cook, maybe baking in your niche then bake some goodies and munch your heart out.  please don't order takeout because that sometimes doesn't work and eating or binge on junk food will make you feel even heavier.

One final way to help keep me motivated is by talking to my mother| She's not always understanding but she always puts my head back in the game. Maybe you and your mum are not that close, I would suggest speaking to someone who always never fails inspires you and is there to listen and inject some sunshine back into you. It can be a friend who makes you laugh or a family member who you are able to talk to.
Do you have any suggestions to help get rid of the blues?

My Top Concealer For Oily/Combination Skin

I've never been much of a master at wearing or doing my makeup. Throughout 2016 I went through a stage where I was willing and trying out many different makeup brands which i'd have probably never heard of if i hadn't been so into new emerging brands(for me at least). Being an oily darker skinned girl, it can be very difficult to finding the perfect foundation and concealer to help combat some of my daily makeup woos. I found some amazing brands and products which has really helped me enjoy wearing and trying to up my makeup game. In my previous post (here), i shared with you my thoughts on that money saving eyeshadow palette. Today I though i'd share with you my run-down of some concealers which has really helped me to cover up some of my skincare secrets.
It is very hard to narrow down my most favourite concealers of 2016,  but if I was to pick my most used product it would be the LA Girl Pro Concealer - Chestnut and Toast | This concealer is very inexpensive, durable and can be built up for a full coverage makeup look or a natural everyday glam look. Its content will cover all your skincare woos.

I rediscovered my love for M.A.C products again (at least the concealers), and the Diorskin Star Foundation and concealer are the one that I've repurchased again because I have finally discovered how to use them. Although the Dior Star Foundation were not a favourite of mine when i bought it a while back but I ran out of my trusted shade 12 Lancome Teint Idole Foundation so i had to use it, they are a new addition to my makeup routine. M.A.C select cover up; NW40 + NW45 - Studio Finish Concealer in NW45, Dior Star Concealer in 003, are my favourites and I have been wearing them non-stop last year.

What concealers have you been loving lately?

Last Minute Christmas Gift Ideas

I haven't really done any Christmas posts this year. Maybe it's because I have been too busy with work to even think of being jolly. I know I should take a break but I am very anal when it comes to making sure I get the best grades in order for me to continue on my journey to completing this degree. I know I should take a break and get into the festivities, I haven't even drunk that much mulled wine this year and I absolutely love mulled wine. I've decided to live a little and join my little six-year-old brother and really start getting into the merriment of Christmas. So I've decided to help those of us who haven't really managed to get everyone's gift yet. I was browsing the internet as per usual and came across these palettes, I wouldn't mind someone gifting me. I hope you like my choices and I hope it helps you to get the perfect gift to brighten someone's day.
